DUDU FISHER PERFORMS FOR THE POPE

May 11, 2009
On May 11, 2009, history was made as Pope Benedict XVI journeyed to Israel.
Dudu Fisher was honored when asked to perform at the ceremony for the Pope at Beit Hanassi, the house of the President of Israel, Shimon Peres.
One song that Dudu performed was his signature song, “Bring Him Home”, from Les Miserables. He often performs this song, but this time his performance had an extra special meaning. The Pope met with the parents of the Israeli soldier who is still being held captive in Gaza, Gilad Shalit, prior to arriving at Beit Hanassi and Dudu had this meeting in mind as he sang.
The visit of the Pope to Israel is meaningful to people throughout the world. Jews, Christians and Muslims alike took part in this event and will hopefully be an example to the world that all people can unite and live together in peace.
